Hand side lever to the ground

  • Initial situation
    • The aggressor is located right in front of the defender
    • Grip on the opposite upper arm from the front in the stand

  • Loosen grip
    • The grip will not loosed, but fixed on the own upper arm

  • Defense technique
    Hand side lever to the ground, Yoko mawashi irimi
    • fix the gripping arm from above on the own upper arm, doing this ...
    • ... the own fingers point outwards and ...
    • ... the space between thumb and pointing finger presses onto the thumb base joint of the aggressor (leveraging)
    • The gripped arm executes a circular movement from the outside inwards, so ...
    • ... the upper area of the forearm presses on the lateral wrist of the fixed hand
    • By the continuing of the circular movement towards the ground, the wrist of the aggressors is levered by a hand side lever (Yoko mawashi irimi)
    • Possibly kneel down to bring the aggressor further more into the ground position
