Elbow strech lever, Fixation in the ground

basic defense posture while choking: Chin to chest / Pull up shoulders / Tense neck muscles

  • Initial situation
    • The defender in the supine position on the ground
    • The aggressor squats directly behind the defender
    • Strangle attack from behind with both hands

  • Defense technique
    Elbow strech lever, Ude hisigi juji gatame
    • • Fixation of one hand on to the own breast and lifting up the hips
    • • Bring the leg at side of the fixed arm to the opposite side with the calf on the side of the neck of the aggressor.
    • • The other leg is diametrically opposed applied to the other side of the neck (instep is located at the back of the neck ) - The legs are crossed.
    • • Pressure of the lower leg to the side of the fixed arm, so that the aggressor is first pressed to the side and then into the supine position.

Strangle attacks pose a threat to life, they are consistent, timely and hard to fend off!
