Shoulder lever

basic defense posture while choking: Chin to chest / Pull up shoulders / Tense neck muscles

  • Initial situation
    • The defender in the supine position on the ground
    • Horsemen seat of the aggressor on the belly of the defender
    • Strangle attack from the front with both hands

  • Loosen grip
    • One hand grasps from outside to inside a strangling hand, the fingers press on the inner hand joint
    • The gripped arm is outward rotated and angled

  • Defense technique
    Shoulder lever, Shiho nage
    • The other hand grips under the bent arm (in the region of the upper arm) on the forearm of the aggressor, at the same time ...
    • ... bends the defender his upper body upward.
    • Perform Shiho nage (shoulder lever with throw), the aggressor is tilted to the side of the bent arm.

  • Completion

Strangle attacks pose a threat to life, they are consistent, timely and hard to fend off!
