Kata ashi hisigi - one sided leg bending

UKE is on his back in the floor, TORI is facing UKE's feet, slightly to the left or to the right side of UKE, with views towards UKE. UKE tries to kick TORI, while lying on the ground.

TORI blocks the kick and clamps the right ankle of UKE under his right armpit. UKE's toes pointing upwards, the instep of the foot is in close contact with the back of the upper arm or shoulder of TORI. TORI now leads his right forearm under the lower leg of UKE and grabs with his right hand in his left hand. The inner edge of the right forearm exerts strong pressure on the Achilles tendon (see Basics - Kyusho) of UKE's right foot.

In order to better balance the stand, TORI has his legs slightly open and his upper body is initially slightly bent forward. The leverage effect on the ankle of UKE sets in as soon as TORI stretches and bends backwards at the same time, this will lift UKE from the ground. During this movement, his arms are always in close contact with his own chest. TORI can support the leverage effect by a slight rotation with his upper body from the hips to the left.

COMMENT:
The leverage technique is from different source positions possible.
