Maki komi - wraping around

UKE stands upright with a slight imbalance to the right. TORI emphasizes this imbalance by energetic train forward using his left hand that has the right arm of UKE, just below his elbow caught. The pulling motion is carried out in a wide arc. At the same time he puts his left foot in front of the right foot of UKE, while rotating over his left foot counterclockwise with his back against UKE; slightly to the side. Now TORI places his right foot, his right leg is slightly bent, behind the right foot of UKE, so that the foot and both feet of TORI are on the same line. During his pull and rotational motion TORI has positioned his right arm over UKE away, above UKE's right arm. UKE's right arm is thus fixed under his right armpit. By pull of his left hand at UKE's right arm TORI secures this arm position wherein UKE is also pressed against TORI's chest. UKE's entire right half body from knee to shoulder, has close contact with TORI's back leg and the right side of his back. It is important that the right arm of UKE, is as close as possible jammed under the right armpit of TORI and there it has to stay.

TORI lets himself fall by turning his body to the right with momentum forward by further turns on his left foot and the toe of his right foot. The axis of revolution to the UKE is formed from the right leg and the right side, up to his shoulder. TORI finally comes on his half-right side of his body right next to UKE to lie. UKE's right arm is still jammed under the armpit of TORI. To continue TORI can easily pass in the 1st Fixing technique (Kesa gatame).

Remark:
It is important in this technique that TORI must bring his right shoulder down to the left and not lets himself fall only during the rotation on his right side.

Usage:
This sacrifice throw can be very well used against contact attacks (clinches, etc.) from behind to bring the aggressor to the ground.
