Kata seoi - carry on shoulder

TORI turns in front of the aggressor (back to stomach) by putting his right foot forward left and turns against the clock before the aggressor, his left foot is pulled backward after a half rotation. TORI is with his feet between the feet of the aggressor. During the execution of the turning movement, TORI goes with an upright body slightly to the knees, so that his bottom is under the aggressors center of gravity. At the same time TORI's left arm takes the aggressors right arm , at the lower sleeve area and pulls strongly forward-right. TORI's right shoulder blade presses against the right chest muscle and the shoulder of the aggressor. The angled left arm TORI is brought under right arm of the aggressor, and his hand grabs into the jacket in height of the right shoulder, thus blocks th right arm.

Once these points of contact are made TORI tends strongly to the front, the movement is supported by TORI's buttocks, which is while TORI stretching his legs pushed back. The legs of the aggressor will be lifted off the ground, with the right leg lifts first. This has the result that the aggressor can only escape bad to the right side. The fall of the aggressor is initiated by pulling his right sleeve by TORI’s left hand and the pressure of his right upper arm against the triceps of the aggressor.

Usage:
The technique is very well applicable if the attack comes from behind (e.g. grip, choking) . But even after a successful high inner forearm block the attacker can be brought down well with kata seoi. The fall is relative hard. By this movement TORI brings his back in close contact with the chest and abdomen of the aggressor.
