Seoi nage - shoulder throw

It is applied the same technique to the equilibrium refraction and the same throw entrance as for kata seoi. But TORI's right hand does not leave the left collar of UKE it stays rather high at UKE's collar. If the grip is to far down at UKE's collar, problems with further movement can occur. In the moment in which TORI turns in to the left for urging his back against the chest of UKE, he bends his right arm without letting go of UKE's collar, and leads his elbow under the right arm of UKE. The underside of his forearm is after the movement in UKE's right armpit. The left collar of UKE is still taken by TORI.

It is the same performing as for kata seoi.

Usage:
Unlike kata seoi, the technique can not be used in a rear attack more likely, because the left collar of the attacker must be taken. But after a successful high inner forearm block, the attacker can also be brought to the ground. The fall is also relatively hard.
