Kata ashi dori - holding a leg

TORI brings UKE by pulling him to the left and by pressing him to the back out of the equilibrium. His right leg is in a forward position or UKE is about to make a right step forward. TORI puts his left foot straight forward, outside next to the right foot of UKE. He moves his right foot up to the level of the left foot of UKE so TOR is completely on the right side of UKE.

TORI now leads his right hand under the right knee (the knee) of UKE and pulls strongly the leg upwards. At the same time he pushes with his left hand UKE's right shoulder heavily backwards to finally go into a pull to the left side. The upward pull at UKE's right leg is further enhanced. TORI's arm movement is complemented by appropriate body use to throw UKE ultimately to the left-rear; UKE falls on his left side in front of TORI's feet.

Usage:
According to an avoidance movement to the left, e.g. at a frontal kick and a corresponding deep outer forearm block, this throw can be well applied.
