Ushiro hizi jime - Rear elbow strangulation

Advantage:

  • The defender can walk forward

Disadvantage:

  • The defender can not see the aggressor

Here the aggressor is fixed and transported by a blood stangulation technique.
Because the defender can not see the aggressor, he maybe will not recognize that the aggressor is unconscious because of the strong pressure onto both carotid arteries.

Use at a normal slap on the face:

The slap on the face is blocked with a inner forarm block (Uchi uke).

The other hand presses the head to the side opposite the striking arm, doing this the blocking arm is led over the striking arm backwards to the scapula. The defender rotates the head of the aggressor furthermore, hereby and by the pull of the scapula, the aggressor is turned in fornt of the defender.

The hand located at the head grips around the neck of the aggressor, so that the hollow of the elbow is placed in front of the larynx. The other hand grips the own hand at the opposite side of the head of the aggressor. By strong pulling backwards, the aggressor is brought in a supine position. Hereby the buttock of the defender supports the movement; as in the approach of a hip throw (Koshi waza), by excavating. The aggressor will be lifted onto the toe tips.

The aggressor can now be transported by the help of the strangling technique. Important is, to keep the unstable backward position of the aggressor.
