Haiwan jime - Outer arm strangulation

Advantage:

  • The defender can walk forward
  • Fast and simple transition to the ground

Disadvantage:

  • Approach at strong neck muscles is difficult

The aggressor is fixed and transported by a bloot strangulation technique with the forearms; Haiwan jime.
The technique is very fast applicable. It is important, that the aggressor is allready during the approach of the technique in a bending forward position, e.g. by a strike technique into the testicles. To use this technique most effective, make sure that the wrists behind the neck are not bent or kinked.

Use at a normal slap on the face:

The slap on the face is blocked by an inner forearm block (Uchi uke).

During a 90° rotation towards the aggressor the other hand executes a shock technique; e.g. a backhand strike (Uraken uchi) into the testicles , to bring the aggressor in a forward bending position.

The hand that performs the shock technique is brought, at the side of the striking arm, lateraly at the neck of the aggressor to the nape, so the hollow of the elbow is located in front of the larynx. The other, the blocking hand grips the own wrist at the nape of the aggressor.
Both forearms are located at the sides of the neck of the aggressor; he will be strangled by a scissor and squeezing movement through the radius and ulna bone.

The defender turns frontwards and is able to transport the aggressor secure and without any problems by moving rapidly forward.
